THE OFFICES OF THE RECORDER & VITAL RECORDS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES:
Wear masks when in public.
Avoid enclosed spaces with groups of people.
Stay six feet away from others.
Cover your coughs and sneezes.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your face.
The Recorder's office recommends Electronic submission for prompt recording, but paper documents will also be processed.
The drop box will continue to be used. It is located on the west side of the County Office Building outside the west doors. Envelopes left in the drop box will need to be clearly labeled for the Recorder's Office and/or Vital Records.
The Recorders office is responsible for the permanent recording and efficient retrieval of real estate title records. These documents include deeds, contracts, mortgages, probate documents, etc.
