The application deadline has now ended.
The Winona County Board approved over $2.5 million dollars in American Rescue Plan funds to be distributed to organizations across the county to work on a variety of projects. Many more applications for projects were submitted than available funding. Criteria used to determine recommendations included community impact, reach across the county, meeting needs identified in both the Engage Winona survey and Community Health needs assessment, and fulfilling the intent of the special projects funding and areas identified by US Treasury. An additional $400,000 was approved for county department projects. A list of projects can be found here.
