Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments
The public and media are hereby notified that the Winona County
Board will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the Winona County Zoning Ordinance on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Winona County Board Room, 177 Main Street, Winona, MN.
The purpose of this hearing is to present information on proposed changes to the Winona County Zoning Ordinance (WCZO) and to receive comments from the public on these proposed amendments.
Written comments may also be submitted.
The hearing will address the following proposed changes to the Winona County Zoning Ordinance:
- Chapter 4.2: A new definition for a Minor Modification (Feedlots)
- Chapter 5.4, 5.4.1, 5.4.2: Update to the process and procedures for making changes to the WCZO and Comprehensive Plan.
Chapter 5.6.3(a)(2): Addition of mailing procedure for sending notification of a public hearing for a variance
Chapter 5.10.2: General Enforcement – move after the fact fee to Winona County Fee Schedule
Chapter 5.10.3: Enforcement Procedure - addition of procedures for violations of the zoning ordinance
Chapter 5.10.4: Addition of procedures for suspending or revoking a Conditional Use Permit
- Chapter 8.4.2 and 8.4.6: Eliminate need of a CUP for minor modification of a feedlot
- Chapter 10.7.8: Clarification of description of the CD-2 Zoning District
